About The Nook
Nestled in the centre of the beautiful village of Abernethy, The Nook was originally a horse stable built over 100 years ago. It is full of wonderful character that all previous owners have worked hard to protect, and we are no different.

The Nook also sits next to the world famous Abernethy Round Tower, a 7th century bell tower at the edge of our village cemetery which you can climb and enjoy the stunning landscapes of Abernethy, Perth and beyond.
The Nook is all about creating a cosy atmosphere, filled with yummy food, fresh bread and baking, great local produce and delicious coffee - all backed up by amazing service.

We're James & Becky and these are our three gorgeous boys Lochie, Finn & Bo (he's the dog).
A mechanical design engineer and management consultant by trade, our dream has always been to work together. After moving to Abernethy in 2022 after 7 years in New Zealand, we knew this is where we wanted to do it.

A coffee shop has always been something high on our list, and while we never expected to start one while raising a young family, when the opportunity came up in the heart of our amazing community we knew it was meant to be.
​
We love great coffee, healthy quality food for kids and grown ups, a sweet treat and good service - but all these things in one place is hard to find. So rather than find it, we decided to build it ourselves!
